P&O Cruises cancel sailings until next year.
Today they have announced that they are cancelling all cruises until the end of January 2021. The UK’s largest cruise operator said the decision was taken due to ‘evolving restrictions on travel’. They had previously cancelled sailings until November 12.
Caribbean cruises will be cancelled until the end of January 2021. Cruises to and from Southampton will be cancelled until February. Arcadia and Aurora have already been cancelled through to the end of their spring world cruises.
P&O President Paul Ludlow said: ‘With evolving restrictions on travel from the UK, unfortunately it is necessary to cancel these itineraries.’
‘We are continuing to monitor the overall situation closely and will certainly reintroduce cruises should the opportunity arise and it is feasible to do so.’
Customers with bookings will receive credit for a future sailing worth 125% of the cost of their original trip. They can also claim a full refund.
Carnival UK, who own P&O recently announced 450 job cuts.
