The police on Spain’s Costa del Sol have been involved in a mercy dash to rescue a beaten and locked up woman
Costa del Sol’s police force recieved a tip off from Belgium police than a Belgium ex pat was being kept prisoner in a home in Mijas and beated regulary by her drug fuelled partner.
The call came to the Belgium police came from the woman’s brother after the woman in trouble was able to make a frantic quick phone call to him, informing of the situation.
The police on the Costa del Sol scrambled to the situation and started an area search in attempt to track down the woman who was being held against her own will.
Several hours of searches brought forward a result as the woman was located in the Las Lagunas area just outside of the town Fuengirola.
The police stormed the property and rescued the Belgium woman who was covered in cuts and bruises.
The wounds appeared to officers to be in line with continous beatings.
At the property the police also arrested the alleged beater, the woman’s boyfriend, also of Belgium nationality.
The alleged perpetrator of the beatings and the locking up of the woman, gave no resistance to the police as he was taken away and will face the courts this pending week.
