The Welsh government are following the Spanish regulations in an attempt to beat the second wave of Coronavirus
MASKS TO BE MADE COMPULSORY IN INDOOR SPACES FROM MONDAY
The Welsh Government has announced the new ruling today, which will be implemented from Monday, and will include indoor spaces, like shops and restaurants – (Until seated in restaurants).
Wales is also bringing its own “rule of six” from Monday, to limit the number of people who can meet indoors to six- Excluding Caerphilly County Borough, as they have their own restrictions in place, due to being put into local lockdown, on Tuesday 8 September.
The new regulations set by the Welsh government led by Mark Drakeford follow those set in place by Spain, although the downside is that the Spanish themselves have the highest rate of infections in Europe, an indication to many of those in Wales that the heavy regulations don’t work and make no difference.
Anti Coronavirus campaigner Steven Thomas was the first to call it out as he told Global247news: “It’s hardly a good example is it, Spain deployed these regulations months ago and all it has done is kill their economy – we here in Wales can’t afford that, if these regulations actually worked then why is Spain in so much trouble with infection rises?” he questioned.
“Applying these regulations is typical of the Welsh government, if Drakeford had any clue – then he would be following Sweden if he needs to follow others”
“What we need to be doing, is getting on with life, hardly anyone is dying from this virus – we need to get on with it” he finished.
