President Donald Trump had the exchange during a press conference where a reporter called him a ‘liar’ over the severity of Covid-19.
The President addressed the reporter who asked him ‘Why had you lied to the American public? ‘in regards to the President saying some months ago over recorded phone calls with Rob Woodward that the virus was ‘similiar to the flu.’
Mr Trump shook his head at being called a ‘liar’ and addressed the reporter firmly saying he was a ‘disgrace to ABC News.’
Mr Trump said, ‘I did not lie. I said we needed to be calm and not panic.’
‘The flu is a serious virus in this country and kills hundreds of thousands.’
