From Monday, it has been declared that socialising with more than six people will be illegal. Now Britons are facing 10pm curfews in order to try and control the spread of coronavirus.
UK could introduce 10pm CURFEWS: The Prime Minister was aiming to get the UK back to normal by Christmas. However, that is looking unlikely since the infection rate has been rising again.
From Monday it will be illegal to assemble in groups of seven or more anywhere in England, whether indoors or out.
The younger generation are currently being blamed for the rise of cases. However across social media 20-30 year olds are hitting back.
One user wrote “It’s so ironic for the government to tell us ‘we’ve relaxed too much’. When they opened schools, restaurants… eat out to help out.”
Angry user Victoria Sakim wrote: “Social gatherings for 6+ are now banned from Monday. After promoting a whole month of Eat Out to Help Out.. This UK government is so lost.”
Although schools, workplaces and a limited number of other locations will be exempt from a six person limit.
Matt Hancock has announced the government are ready to take the next step and slap a curfew on the country, he said : ‘We need to act now to stop the virus spreading. So we are simplifying and strengthening the rules on social contact – making them easier to understand and for the police to enforce.
‘It is absolutely critical that people now abide by these rules and remember the basics – washing your hands, covering your face, keeping space from others, and getting a test if you have symptoms.’
He continued: ‘We’ve seen the increase in the number of cases sadly in the last few days. We’ve seen that across Europe there’s a second wave that many countries have experienced.
‘Some of those countries have then got that second wave under control. If you look at what’s happened in Belgium they saw an increase and then they’ve brought it down, whereas in France and Spain that just hasn’t happened.’
