Car mounts pavement outside school injuring parents and children

It has been reported that two children have suffered serious injuries after a car mounted a pavement. And then ploughed into them outside their school.

Car mounts pavement outside school: Parents and teachers rushed to help the injured outside Beatrix Potter primary school in Openview, Wandsworth. It happened at around 3.10pm on Tuesday afternoon.

The Metropolitan Police said that one child suffered a serious head injury while another had a suspected broken leg.

The car driver stopped at the scene but neither they nor the children in the vehicle suffered any injury.

All the victims were taken to hospital for medical attention. No arrests have been made so far and inquiries continue.

Any witnesses to the accident are being urged to come forward to help the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit to piece together what happened.  Global247News Twitter
