Bus driver receives serious eye injury after unprovoked attack in South London

An “unprovoked” attack on a bus driver from South London has left him with a serious eye injury.

Bus driver receives serious eye injury: The incident happened when an unknown man boarded his bus on Atkins Road, Lambeth. He then repeatedly punched him in the face.

Police have now released a photographic image of a man that they would like to question regarding the attack. The driver, who is 43-years-old, was on a break at the time of the vicious attack. he has since undergone treatment for severe facial injuries at a local hospital.

Officers investigating the case have discovered that a motorcyclist was in an argument earlier. Occuring with the driver of the bus at a set of traffic lights.

An officer from the Met Police’s Roads and Policing Command has said that “the completely unprovoked attack has left the victim with a serious eye injury, which could jeopardise his job”. They are urging anyone who recognizes the man from the photo to come forward.
