The Invictus Games fundraiser was recently snubbed by Prince harry and Meghan. The change of plans comes just after the signing of an exclusive Netflix contract.

Invictus snubbed by Prince Harry and Meghan: The Event was reportedly going to raise at least £1 million for the Invictus Games Foundation.

As a result, huge criticism has been voiced after Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markel cancelled attending the scheduled fundraising event. The event for injured veterans was snubbed last week. The cancellation comes just after signing a media production contract with Netflix just days before. It was reported that the contract for producing documentaries, docu-series, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming is worth over nine figures.

Ironically the Invictus Games, was created by Prince Harry. It is an international multi-sport event, focusing on wounded or injured armed service members . The games involve participation in nine sports including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, and indoor rowing.

The Sunday Times reported that.  “the event was set to be aired on Amazon, which is considered a competitor to Netflix, causing a conflict of interests.”

Beyonce and Ed Sheeran were due to perform at the music and comedy show in California this coming June. It is proposed that this event could be at The Hollywood Bowl.

An Invictus spokesperson claimed. “The event was canceled due to the corona virus and claimed it had nothing to do with the couple’s Netflix  deal.”

The 2020 Invictus Games were to be hosted in April. However due to COVID-19 restrictions was cancelled.
