Ottawa, Canada – Health officials say to skip the foreplay and wear masks during sex, it has been revealed.
Wear masks during sex and skip kissing: Dr Theresa Tam made the announcement at a parliament meeting on Wednesday.
“Skipping kissing, avoiding face-to-face closeness, wearing a mask that covers your mouth and nose, and monitoring yourself and your partner for symptoms ahead of any sexual activity”, Tam said.
“Like other activities during COVID-19 that involve physical closeness, there are some things you can do to minimize the risk of getting infected and spreading the virus.”
“The lowest risk sexual activity during COVID-19 involves yourself alone,” she added.
Sexual health is an important part of overall health, Tam said, take precautions, “Canadians can find ways to enjoy physical intimacy while safeguarding the progress we have all made containing COVID-19. Wear masks during sex and skip kissing”
Tam’s views come after Canada has suffered 129,425 cases of COVID-19 and 9,132 deaths.
There have been a rise in cases across the country recently, most notable in the western provinces.
