15-year-old Seesha Dack went missing on Sunday when she failed to return home after meeting up with friends.
Teenage girls body found: She was last spotted at around 7pm on Sunday at the Fish Quay in North Shields.
Police were alerted and started a search for her which ended on Tuesday evening when Northumbria Police found a body, which they believe to be her, at Tanners Bank in North Shields.
Leading the investigation, Superintendent Barrie Joisce said that it was a very sad ending to what was an extensive investigation.

He went on to say that “Seesha’s family are currently being supported by specialist officers. Our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time”. He also praised locals by thanking them for their time searching for Seeha and for phone calls of possible sightings.
He finished off by saying that inquiries will continue to establish the circumstances of her death, although at this time they do not suspect anyone else to be involved.
