Horny Pythons come crashing through David Taites kitchen ceiling in Brisbane as they try to mate

Two phyton snakes have crashed through a kitchen ceiling in Brisbane as they attempted to mate a female and got into a snake fight

David Taite stood in shock as he returned home to find huge snakes on his kitchen table after they had crashed landed from his kitchen ceiling whilst mating.

As Taite stood back for safety reasons, After the crash, the Coastal Carpet Pythons slithered off to the bedroom and living room. They measured in at both 9.5ft and 8.2ft long.

Taite ran to his phone as the snakes slithered off to the living room to call the local snake catcher, Steven Brown.

As Taite awaited for the local snake catcher to arrive, he himself stood on the kitchen table fearing the snakes return and giving him the opportunity to survey his kitchen ceiling and the large hole created by the killer snakes.

On arrival some 45 minutes later snake catcher Brown got to work and captured the deadly snakes before measuring them and taking them for release back to the bush.

Steven Brown releases the horny snakes

The bad news though for David Taite, one snake remains at large in his home as the snake catcher revealed both snakes were horny males who had been fighting over a female snake and the female he couldn’t find.

Snake catcher Brown said: “There’s no nest there, but it’s hard to say if there was another one in the ceiling as I was unable to inspect it due to minimal space between the roof and ceiling.”

Brown went on to say: ” Mr Tait is “luckily” uninjured as he was not home at the time of the crash. “He is just hoping no more come through the ceiling until he can get it fixed,”

It’s currently snake mating season and Taite will have to be on his guard as a snake bite from a Python can kill with 30 minutes.
