The backlash comes after the Channel 4 documentary ‘Me & My Penis’ aired on Monday night at 10pm British Standard Time.
Public outrage as erect penis is shown for first time in British TV history: The show follows artist Ajamu X who takes naked photos of eight men and discusses male issues with them.
The images show erect penises, something which has never been aired on British television in it’s entire history.
However, it was “too much” for many fans with some admitting they were forced to switch off.
One user Tweeted: ‘Right, television is getting too much these days.’
Another said: ‘Seen it all now -literally!’

However, one contributor raved about his penis, telling viewers: “It’s integral to who I am from a survival standpoint, to my fertility, to being able to pass on my seed. It’s f****king awesome.
“I think it’s a travesty that men and women are being mushed together because the difference between the two is beautiful and to pretend that we are the same in the name of equality is nonsense.”
And artist Ajamu X, who led the show, said, “Our dicks help shape us as men and how we navigate the world, like the men I’ve met, that can be complicated and beautiful. ”
Channel 4 haven’t commented.
