Greece tightens travel restrictions. Within days of a group of British youngsters returning from Greece to the UK with the deadly virus. Greece are tightening up on their restrictions.
Already they have placed these on the island of Zante which include live entertainment being suspended. No groups larger than 9 people to gather together and only 4 people per table in restaurants.
The Foreign Office has now issued travel advice to Greece and added information on restrictions in Paros, Antiparos and Zante.
On Wednesday of last week Greece saw it’s daily figure rise to 293 cases, which is the highest since the pandemic began. The limit of cases before a country has it’s travel corridor closed is 20 cases per 100,000 and Greece is sitting at 15.5 cases, so it is time for them to act.
On Thursday Jamaica, Czech Republic and Switzerland all saw their travel corridor removed.
