Emily Eavis confirms that the Glastonbury Festival will go ahead in June 2021. The iconic music festival was cancelled this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Glastonbury to go ahead in 2021: Ms Eavis used her Twitter account to confirm the news saying “For those who have been asking, we have no plans to move next year’s event to September 2021 – we’re still very much aiming for June.
Additionally the event is already sold out. The organizers are honoring tickets bought for 2020. No announcements have been made about who will perform at the festival. This year was to have been the 50th anniversary festival with headliners including Taylor Swift and Sir Paul McCartney.
The hugely popular event attracts crowds of 200,000 people to the venue in the Somerset countryside.
