The diamond-encrusted facial coverings have been listed on websites such as Ebay and Etsy.
The masks have been listed as a ‘long time in the making’ as people have been desperate to get married during the coronavirus pandemic yet have had had to cancel weddings.
The masks – in black and white lace – were described online as ‘hand made, hand stitched and embellished lace with Swarovski Crystals.’
One site selling them on Facebook – Crystalize my Couture – said the masks were ‘very breathable’ and had been ‘tested by a client at a previous wedding already.’
One user seem delighted on Facebook saying on the site’s page: ‘I had just been talking about something like this. Very much needed right now!’
Another user said they would ‘use it for something like a communion.’
However, others haven’t been as positive calling the masks ‘a stupid sign of the times…stay home!’
Another joked: ‘You may kiss the bride….oh, wait…’
Weddings were cancelled throughout the pandemic with some losing deposits made or having to push their wedding date back by a year.
Most establishments are retaking weddings but at a guest reduced capacity.
