Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed yesterday that the country has recorded 2 (two) deaths in the past 24 hours, the first to be recorded in over a month in Scotland.
The last deaths to be recorded here were on the 16th July. With the latest deaths it now brings the total in Scotland to 2,494. Sturgeon went on to add that 67 people have tested positive for the virus so that figure now stands at 19,988. Turning to national figures, a government document published on Tuesday shows that 41,449 people have passed away in the UK within a month of first being diagnosed with COVID-19.
Statistics agencies in the UK have published figures showing that 57,200 people’s deaths have so far been registered where COVID-19 is mentioned on the death certificates.
