Suspect arrested in connection with Wisconsin shootings

Donald Trump has called to restore “law and order” in the city following several days of unrest sparked by the shooting of a black man by a police officer, and Police in Illinois have arrested a 17-year-old suspect in connection with the killing of two people in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Tuesday night in Kenosha, two people were shot and killed and another was injured where protesters have been demonstrating since Sunday, when a police officer shot resident Jacob Blake Jr.

The Blake family’s attorney, Benjamin Crump, said on Tuesday that the shooting had paralysed Mr Blake and traumatised his three children, who saw it happen.

According to the Kenosha Police Department, shortly before midnight, seven blocks away, police responded to a report of shots fired with multiple victims.

They did not release the names of the victims, however two people were killed, and a third was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
