A three-day nationwide strike has been planned by Spain’s student union to protest over the start of the academic year.
Outside the Education and Professional Training Ministry on Wednesday morning students lined up at the entrance to demand to stop online teaching, and claim last term was a disaster.
Spokesperson Coral Latorre said “Young people want to go back to the classroom”,
“For five months we’ve seen the Education Minister with her arms crossed, not having taken any kind of measure to guarantee our right to study and to safe classrooms”
Students are desperate to return to normal life after coronavirus has effected the world. A teachers strike has been organised for September in the Madrid region, and people will be out on the streets in “Marea Verde”
