Kerry Katona has decided to postpone her birthday party, so she can take a holiday to Spain with her five children and quarantine when she returns home.
The former Atomic Kitten singer, 39, said she’d rather have some “quality time” with her five kids abroad and deal with the isolation afterwards.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, anyone travelling from Spain to the UK must quarantine for 14 days on their return however Kerry has said she doesn’t mind as she will be surrounded by people she loves.
Writing for her new! magazine column, Kerry said: “By the time you read this I’ll be sunning myself in Spain to celebrate my 40th!
“We’ve decided to take the two weeks’ self-isolation at the end of the trip so we can go away and have some quality time together as a family.
“It’ll be our Molly’s 19th birthday too, so it’s an opportunity to relax, have some laughs and get away from it all.”
Kerry told her readers that her actual birthday will be during the 14 day quarantine, but said she didn’t mind.
She added: “My actual 40th will be during the quarantine, on 6th September, so we’ve had to postpone any party plans.
“But who needs a big bash when you can be in lockdown with the people you love?”
