Police have released a statement saying that the body of a man in his 30’s has been found dead in a North London park.
A member of the public, who discovered the body, called 999 at 1.30pm on Monday from St. James Park in Walthamstow after noticing that the body was unresponsive.
A paramedic crew arrived at the park but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Metropolitan Police said in their statement that the family of the victim have been notified and that they are being supported by officers at this terrible time for them.
They went on to state that his death is being treated as suspicious. Inquiries will continue and a crime scene has been set up. So far no arrests have been made. The statement ended by saying that increased patrols will be taking place in the area so the public can expect to see a larger police presence.
