Disney workers arrested for child sex crimes in Orlando, Florida

Two workers at the Disney World resort are among seventeen people arrested in a sting operation in central Florida.

Brett Kinney, 40, of Lake Alfred, Florida told police he was a guest experience manager at Disney World and Donald Durr, Jr., 52, of Davenport, said he was a custodial worker for Walt Disney World Resorts.

Kinney was arrested for on suspicion of possessing child pornography.

He even admitted to the Sheriff’s department for Polk County that he had been watching child pornography for 22 years and said he ‘couldn’t help himself.’

Durr was found in possession of an electronic tablet that contained three images of child pornography, the sheriff’s statement said.

Durr described himself as ‘a pervert, but not a monster’ and asked for ‘leniency.’

Disney confirmed that both had been suspended after their arrests.

Another person arrested in the operation was a retired middle school teacher for 35 years, only retiring in 2005.

William Hage, 76, of Lakeland worked as an assistant principal who worked for Polk County schools and he was charged with 252 counts of enhanced possession of child pornography and one count of promotion of child pornography, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

“He is our oldest person. He spent over 30 years working for the Polk County School District,” County Sheriff Grady Judd said. “He was a teacher, an administrator, an assistant principal at a middle school.”

Judd said Hage has not had any recent contact with students.

“He’s married and he has adult children,” Judd said. “His child porn was normally children as young as 8 years of age.”

Judd said Hage was online when sheriff’s deputies arrived at his home.

“When we served the search warrant he was engaged in an active chat about how to have sex with children,” Judd explained. The sheriff’s office said one of the images they found was of a baby between the ages of 8 to 12 months.

“The detectives said that there was nothing that led them to believe any students had been victimized,” Brian Bruchey of the sheriff’s office told Patch.

“The people arrested during this operation prey on the most innocent and vulnerable among us,” Sheriff Judd said. “Each one of these arrests has removed a predator from our streets, and the internet.”

The youngest person of the 17 was only nineteen years old the Sheriff’s department confirmed.
