Coronavirus wedding guest on Spain’s Costa Blanca gets sacked for attending the marriage
A wedding that took place in Spain’s Murcia on the Costa Blanca that saw all 200 guests quarantined and the groom testing positive has brought about the sack from his employment for one guest.
RICARDO Cortés, who was one of 200 guests invited to the wedding, says he was sacked after telling the company he works for he had to quarantine for 14 days.
The fuming employ has now put a claim against his employers for unfair dismissal.
All 200 guests are currently being monitored by the health authorities in Spain and the law states that it’s a crime to break quarantine laws so the employee should have a good case recruitment company owner Adam Brown said in Spain’s Marbella
Brown said: “I have never heard something so absurd, how on earth can an employer think he can sack someone for catching COVID – he will his case hands down for sure,” he told Global247news
