Is Mount Trumpmore a reality?

The New York Times reported recently that President Trump would like his face added to Mount Rushmore alongside previous U.S. presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln

Trump Tweeted immediately “This is Fake News by the failing @nytimes & bad ratings @CNN. Never suggested it although, based on all of the many things accomplished during the first 3 1/2 years, perhaps more than any other Presidency, sounds like a good idea to me!”

The NYT reported that Trump had “Inquired about updating Mount Rushmore to include his own face, but noted, perhaps jokingly, that he was open to the proposal.”

In 2017 at a political rally Trump was quoted as saying “I’d ask whether or not you think I will someday be on Mount Rushmore, but here’s the problem: If I did it joking, totally joking, having fun, the fake news media will say ‘he believes he should be on Mount Rushmore'”

In 2018 Kristi Noem, South Dakota Governor said Trump told her “It was his dream to have his likeness be etched into the iconic mountain”

in 2019 Trump stated “it would be such bad publicity if I expressed a genuine desire to be on Mount Rushmore”

Many news sites have recently described the famous monument as “A representation of Slavery and Oppression”

Mount Rushmore’s 60 feet high pictorials of the famous presidents was started in 1927 and completed in 1941 by Gutzon Borglum.
