Marbella's Olivia Valere forced to shut after staff test positive for Covid-19

The Costa del Sol’s favourite bar and nightclub had to cancel an event tonight and shut their doors after staff tested positive for coronavirus.

The club put a notice up on their website saying: ‘Dear Olivia Valere clients. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience but we are closed this evening. We will reopen on Thursday 6th of August.’

It comes as 80 of the staff at the luxury club were tested for coronavirus and some turned out to be positive.

Malaga Province’s Epidemiology Unit has asked Olivia Valere to give details of all those who tested positive in their test and trace scheme.

Some of the locals are blaming ‘illegal gatherings’ for the positive results.

In mid-July around during a party there was an excess of around 150 people.

However, the clubs owners and management claim that they had snuck in through the emergency side doors.

On Olivia Valere’s website they said ‘ We are working on cleaning and disinfecting our space so we can keep it safe and clean for you, as law requires.’
