Trump does a complete 180º on proposed Microsoft buyout of TikTok after stating just days ago he would not agree to sale and actually BAN TikTok from the U.S.
In a conversation with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella yesterday he asserted “If you buy it…a very substantial portion of that price is going to have to come into the Treasury of the United States.” And then today told reporters it could only go ahead “because we’re making it possible for this deal to happen. Right now they don’t have any rights unless we give it to them.”
The deal must be closed within 6 weeks by September 15th or the TikTok Ban will be imposed.
“If a deal can’t be reached by then, TikTok will be out of business in the U.S.”

- Will a “Payment” to the U.S. Treasury be agreed by Microsoft and Chinese firm ByteDance, TikTok owners?
It is anybodies guess at the moment with Trump’s rapidly changing strategies…
