Three Coldstream Guards (protectors of Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace) are under investigation after a fight with Royal Footmen in Westminsters popular Greenwood Sports Pub on Victoria Street
Two men were hospitalized for minor injuries in the fight on 24th July. An MOD spokesman said that the Metropolitan Police were involved in the investigation. The popular venue just 700 meters from Buckingham palace. Royal footmen were attending an event when the altercation took place with the three Coldstream guards.
Famously recognizable by their Bearskin hats and Red Tunics, the Coldstream guards are based at Victoria Barracks in Windsor. They are part of the Guards Division, Foot Guards regiments of the British Army. It is the oldest regiment in the British Army in continuous active service, originating in Coldstream, Scotland, in 1650 when General George Monck founded the regiment
