Man burns alive in front of police after argument outside 7/11

A man from Gilory, California USA died after police found him burning to death on the 101 Highway.

Jerry Mungaray, 40, was discovered on Friday morning.

The man was transported in critical condition with severe burns to the Santa Clara County Valley Medical Center Trauma Unit. He succumbed to his injuries just before midnight Saturday.

The cause of death hasn’t been solved yet but Mungaray was last seen Thursday night getting into a verbal altercation outside a 7-Eleven store in Gilroy, his sister, Jasmine Richards, wrote in a Facebook post.

The incident allegedly involved Mungaray and several people in two cars.

The woman and sheriff’s department did not provide any additional details about what may have caused the incident or how Mungaray ended up being burned alive.

Gilroy police are conducting an investigation.
