A fitness writer appeared on This Morning and declared she would not work with overweight people which left viewers horrified.
Samantha Yardley told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about her controversial views, she said: ‘We need to make it more inconvenient to be obese.’
‘It’s a lifestyle choice, you need to eat a little bit less, work out a little bit more,’ she said, before claiming: ‘From personal experience being larger, you are more lethargic, you are more lazy.’
She claimed plus-size clothes shouldn’t be readily available in shops, branding it ‘cruel’, which caused Eamonn and Ruth to hit back, asking what size would be acceptable to her.
She claims when you hit size 18, ‘you need to make some life changes’.
As Samantha’s views were being introduced, Alison Hammond also had her say, quipping: ‘Come and train me babes, let’s have a laugh. I’m not lazy, I’ll probably run rings around you.’
One horrified view wrote: ‘You want clothes over a size 16 to be harder to get? THEY ALREADY ARE HUN make it any more difficult I’ll be walking around in my birthdays suit, and you definitely don’t want that.’
Another wrote: ‘This is DISGUSTING. who is this woman to have this outlook on life? Someone’s size is none of her business,’
